Privacy Policy

When you click Summarize Current Page, Page Summarizer extracts the readable text of your current tab and sends it to our backend, which forwards it to the Groq AI service to generate a summary. Article text is processed only to generate the summary and is not retained on our servers.

We log anonymous usage events (which summary style was used, text length, hashed IP) to understand how the extension is used and to monitor errors. We do not collect names, emails, browsing history, or any other personally identifying information.

If you enable Bring Your Own Key in Settings, your API key is stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local) and never sent to our servers — your chosen AI provider receives the request directly from your browser.

If you submit feedback through the popup, the message you type is emailed to the developer. No automatic information is included.
